We are delighted to welcome Kate Sketchley as Bianca to Et Tu for our latest release.
Kate Sketchley trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland after obtaining a BSc in Psychology at McGill University. She is well versed in classical, contemporary and devised work, recently participating in the development and performance of Shame: A Double Bill, a dance theatre piece, and the ongoing development of Mechanical’s Macbeth, by Tilly Lunken, as part of the Criterion Writer’s Programme. Her most recent performance was as Caliban in The Tempest, with Controlled Chaos Theatre. In addition to acting, Kate is a writer and is currently developing two pieces of her own work.
Kate is playing a Bianca who is happy to listen to the woes of her close friend Mariana but wary of sharing her own griefs without wine.

Quince is romantic about the theatre and the process of making a play – but as this play and process is rapidly falling down around him, he’s learning the hard way the deeper graft of theatre. And friendship!
He plays a variety of roles most importantly Duncan and Macduff and for the Criterion Showcase – Hecate.
Quince is played by Owen Clark.
Snug – Joiner, Set Builder, Player.
Snug is a worker and proud of it. Whilst she enjoys theatre and playing, her greatest joy lies in the craft of a build and having it all come together in time. If only her friends would take everything as seriously as she does, they might have a chance of one day presenting a show that doesn’t look as if it’s been thrown together overnight!
She is playing many roles, this includes Banquo for the Criterion Theatre showcase.

We are excited to announce Owen Clark as
Owen is an accomplished actor who came to London by may of Montreal, Canada. He has performed throughout Europe and north American on stage, screen and film. Macbeth has always been his favourite play.
Owen has worked previously with In Souliloquy and performed Tybalt In Souliloquy with us; we are delighted to have him return and collaborate with us as Quince!
Mechanicals’ Macbeth is being performed at the Criterion New Writing Showcase on the 20th November from 2pm. This is a free non-ticked event but please RSVP for numbers.
We are excited to welcome Jeannie Dickinson as Starveling for Mechanicals’ Macbeth at the Criterion Theatre New Writing Showcase!
Jeannie graduated from East 15 Acting school is 2014 where she did the MA Acting course having previously studied Drama at Exeter University. Since graduating all the projects she has been involved in have been new writing, including a play she co-wrote with her peers. However she has always wanted to do Shakespearean theatre as well, and now working on Mechanicals Macbeth she has got the best of both worlds. She played the title role in an R&D of a new play ‘Ada’, about Ada Lovelace, at the Nottingham Playhouse earlier this year and recently played Eve in 5* reviewed ‘Adam & Eve’ with Broken Silence Theatre Company at the Jack Studio Theatre.
We have worked with Jeannie on the R&D of Mechanicals’ Macbeth and also for our ‘Shakespeare Shaken-Up’ talk recently where she performed a gorgeous version of ‘Ophelia In Souliloquy.’

In addition to acting, Kate is a writer and is currently developing two pieces of her own work.
Kate has worked with us throughout our R&D period on Mechanicals’ Macbeth and performed as Snout for us in Pop Up Shakespeare – Mechanicals’ Macbeth: A Witches Extract. We are so pleased to be working with her again!

We are excited to announce Jackson Pentland as Bottom in Mechanicals’ Macbeth for the Criterion New Writing Showcase!
Jackson trained at the University of Bristol and the Bristol Academy of Performing Arts. He has toured the UK and Ireland in Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), The Wind in the Willows (Toad), The Hound of the Baskervilles (Watson), A Christmas Carol (Present/Fezziwig), as well as touring internationally to China in the Jungle Book (Baloo) and Dubai in The Pirates of Dinosaur Island (Major Potts/Lucky Jim). Other roles include Peter Rabbit and Friends (Mrs Tiggywinkle), Danny the Champion of the World (Dad), Anonymous Anonymous (George), The Peregrine (Doroteo), The Importance of Being Earnest (Lady Bracknell), and of course A Midsummer Night’s Dream most recently as Oberon/Theseus but Mechanicals’ Macbeth will be the third appearance of Jackon’s Bottom on the professional stage.
Jackson is also working with us as composer/Musical director.
As a composer and musical director Jackson has worked with Chapterhouse Theatre Company, Blue/Orange, GB Theatre Company, and Second Best Bed for whom he wrote lyrics, composed, and arranged a variety of songs ranging from Schubert-esque ballads to contemporary pop and rock songs. He writes folk and traditional music for Shakespeare plays including a collaboration with In Souliloquy for Et Tu.
We are delighted to announce a 30min extract of Mechanicals’ Macbeth is being showcased at the Criteron Theatre on the 20th November – all are welcome and details of our team and cast will be announced over the coming weeks!
In association with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council we are presenting Shakespeare Shaken-Up at The Hub, Grosvenor and Hilbert Park, 7pm, Tuesday the 24th October.
The presentation/performance/discussion will include screenings of a selection of souliloquies, a live performance and facilitated discussion on our practice and this project as well as how digital/live theatre stages interact and how we as artists interact and engage with source Shakespeare texts.
